Description
The Department of Computer Engineering's research and teaching activities focus on the area of embedded systems in critical applications. Research is primarily dedicated to all aspects of time-triggered real-time systems, fault-tolerant distributed algorithms, and systems-on-chip. The actual research topics range from formal/mathematical modeling and analysis over SW/HW architectures up to the area of VLSI design. With respect to teaching, the Institute of Computer Engineering is mainly involved in the Master and Bachelor programs "Computer Engineering" ("Technische Informatik"), which offer a profound scientific-technological education in the field of embedded systems.
